There's a contest for novels that ends in a few days. Winner gets $3000 and publication by the press that puts the contest on. The thing is, this is the kind of thing I always get rejected from, and the entry fee is $25. So why bother? I'll just get rejected yet again. If the contest was free I might still enter, but I just don't want to be out $25 and be a loser on top of it.
