I feel like everyone, if they live long enough, has at least one moment in their life that's overtly supernatural. I don't know how materialists cope with such moments when they arrive.⏱ 1w↩ 2
From my observations of people, it depends on the type of materialist and the character of the 'overtly supernatural' event. I also think people who are of the extreme 'rationalist', atheist bent are a lot less likely to experience anything like that because they have constricted their awareness so tightly, like obsessive compulsives who barely feel the effects of psychedelic dosing.
