I've read that the big bang and the expansion of the universe should be thought of as the expanding surface of an inflating balloon. But I've also read that the the curvature of space has been found to be basically flat. Is the universe big enough that any curvature gets lost in the rounding error, or is my understanding of these topics too superficial?⏱ 1w↩
