Had a convo at work today with a “superior” that boiled down to him accusing me of having a bad attitude because I didn’t say hi to him (LOL), him having a tantrum in front of everyone about it so I suggested we go speak about it somewhere private instead of in front of everyone, then he had a meltdown in his office because I explained I have no attitude with him but the constant disrespect doesn’t exactly make me feel motivated or happy to be there. His melt down was more or less 15 minutes of >YOUS PUTTIN WORDS IN MY MOUF STOP PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUF >*random tangent about nothing* >OH SO IM A LIAR I AM A GROWN MAN DO NOT CALL ME A LIAR >(me) well I just did because that’s what you’re doing now >YOU AINEEN DAT BIG A DEAL TO ME I GOT WAY MORE TO WORRY BOUT DEN YOU YOU SMALL FRY TO ME All because I quite literally said this that and the third happened “and it has been a constant string of blatant disrespect so now we are at the point that when you do ABCD I FEEL like it’s personal and hostile. Zero attempt to find recourse or remedy. Zero effort on his part to have any kind of civil discourse. He started calling me names claimed I was a liar and made it all up so I just laughed and walked away from him, he tried to follow me so I put a finger in his face like a retard and told him he’s “out of his mind” Dudes a fuckin clown. Immediately lost all professionalism because I dared to claim he did wrong, at the end he said he was getting corporate involved I told him I hope he would and then did it myself after. Like the whole situation if him constantly ostracizing and blaming me for other peoples mistakes and me having to go and fix them. It’s often stuff totally unrelated to me or that I had nothing to do with, even stuff that happened when I wasnt there. And no matter how I reply if I point this out the guy circles back and diverts the blame and accountability back onto me anyways. So no I don’t want to interact with you when I can avoid it

As a senior manager I must advise you not to disregard common courtesies such as greeting your superiors, even if they're unpleasant. You're not at home or working for free, show some respect. Leave your ego at the front door and don't make bullshit excuses like "Oh, I didn't see him". That being said, your manager seems to be on a power trip, you did the right thing by standing up for yourself and trying to settle the matter privately. Some people need to learn their place and realize they're feeble mortals like everyone else.
