The attitude I had going through school was, "Alright this is fucking awful, but at least once I turn 18 this will end and I will never ever have to do it again." I wouldn't have been able to get through it, if I believed that something like this would continue my entire life. And that's simply that. There's no silver lining to a life of work. There's no, "And then one day it ends!!!!!" Retiring at age 70 is a profoundly retarded carrot-on-a-stick and we all know this. Your life as an average person is defined by the type of work you do, and we all know this. Anyone who's not a retard is either trying to make money doing what they love, or they're trying to get rich and retire ASAP. This is just obvious. Anything else and you're a slave. You're selling an ENTIRE FRACTION of your life away. In fact, more than a simple fraction. From age 18-70, it's not just 8 hours, but also the most productive and energetic slice of your day. It is completely insane. I don't need an Adderall script, I need financial freedom. I need to escape financial slavery, and it's not just me; anyone with a brain knows this is what we all have to do.

𓀐 @Ks9yeb5c: If you don't work society will punish you in ways you presently cannot imagine. Your average person has gotten used to what they have to do to survive. 0.0001% of the population is supported financially by doing things they find intellectually or artistically interesting. Maybe 5% will be able to retire early in any meaningful sense of the word. Another 1% are born rich. Insane or not that's the way the world is. People are not going to pay you to do something they like to do themselves, even if you are a lot better at it than they are. If you want to be paid you have to do something that sucks, Peter Pan.+
