There's a grey area in between. You can appreciate certain aspects of AI, while disliking other aspects of it. Personally, I think AI has the potential to be an invaluable tool for humanity: helping doctors to find problems in their patients before they become too difficult to cure, and helping researchers analyse raw scientific data, and shorten the distance between new technological milestones. But I also believe that it has the potential to be misused for harmful tasks, such as scamming people, spreading disinformation, being used to assist with devastating cyberattacks against good, honest people, and many other horrible things. Also, the benefits of AI's utility weighed against the cost of the electricity required to run AI data-centers is questionable. It's not AI itself that's \"good\" or \"bad\". It's a tool, just a like a hammer. You can use a hammer to create things, like a building house. Or you can use it to hurt people.
