I think the IEC stuff was for people who didn’t graduate middle school and went into trades early, didn’t take math or logic (and wouldn’t know how to write logical expressions either, and wouldn’t know the standard symbols for and/or/not, never used a spreadsheet or used a high school-level calculator produced in the last 40 years or so) Reminds me of another retarded (and somewhat competing) endeavour: “ladder logic” used for PLC programming. Holy shit that is mind numbing for anyone that graduated high school.
