𓀐 @tUpTMQ*P: >2 months at new job >first real assignment starts next week >add a new feature to a 20 year old system built on microservices >entire app stack is in 4 different languages >90% of the shit I need to do lives outside of my repo in other services, in different languages, built a decade ago by people that no longer work at the company >95% of the entire stack has zero documentation don't think opus is going to carry me through this one+

𓀐 @f-NPEBUw: Chinese are ahead, for their aims. Their aims are to dilute the value of the Frontier. As long as China is able to distill the Frontier models they are winning. They can't stop distillation because in order to stop distillation you basically make serviceability, debugging, and insight into reasoning traces impossible. That violates the tenants of AI safety so you have to stop the scraping by looking at network logs instead of using a more systemic solution. China has massive botnets. They can match a residential real Chrome fingerprint trivially. It's piss easy for them.+

𓀐 @yGvbuj5A: opencode its not "free" anymore, the poor people know, now we have hard limits thats make impossible to work free, i know its capitalism, they need to make money etc. but the working class also need this tool. any recomendation for another more "free" alternative?+

𓀐 @P5SuQ=R=: has anyone solved the complexityslop problem that all these LLMs are affected by? the minute i stop carefully reviewing code, all models I've tried add vastly unnecessary amounts of abstractions and scaffolding that make the resulting application harder for the agent to work with in the future while providing no gain for the project. i know that my code reviews are the bottleneck here and i know i need to review less to get more throughput out of these models, but i don't know how to be less hands-on while also making sure the AI doesn't take a massive shit on the codebase+

𓀐 @3gDxgG6f: No, you won't be. I'm currently working on my Anubis & Go-Away bypasses, optimizing them with AVX2 instructions for higher yields on PoW bypassing. I'm also currently working on taking my own advice of optimizing/adding features to Minetest, which is apparently now called Luanti.+ 1

Is there no way to get good map building with opus? Is Astra better? I'm almost giving up and doing the whole map process by hand. please help vibebros+
