𓀐 @ZDixr6sH: The 1950s don’t make me angry. It seems like a good decade to have been alive. Unfortunately the prosperity of that decade was a historical oddity, and its naive to think that the United States could simply RETVRN.

Even with that prosperity, more than 20% of the US was below the poverty line every year of the 1950s. Also it was definitely not a good time if you were black, especially in the south with jim crow laws.
