𓀐 @HNP~UNH?: to what degree can raw (shredded) cabbage replace bread? it turns out I eat about ~2600 calories a day. replacing ~350 grams of bread (~850 calories) with ~350 grams of cabbage (~90 grams) would make my daily intake drop from ~2600 to ~1840. seems too good to be true as what worries me the most is length of fullness as I aim to maintain 3 meals with no snacks. also are there any particular veggies that provide fullness? and does cabbage have to be washed beyond throwing the outer leaves into ga…+

𓀐 @*KkM27m_: Soups made from roasted vegetables are delicious. Wish I could make them more often. What do you think of miso soup? Japanese eat them for every meal and they're filling and customizable. They take 10 minutes to make because you're just stirring dashi powder and miso paste into hot water, but they have a lot of flavor. Add rehydrated wakame or some baby spinach for fiber and firm tofu cubes or an egg for protein.+

𓀐 @K6aRAQmv: I think it's easier to restrict, mark certain foods as off-limits. I find it difficult to stop at a moderate portion when the food is right there. Constantly tasting a bite of the food here and there is just reminding me that it exists and keeping it at the forefront of my mind. If I decide a food is off-limits, then that is the decision being made and I don't have to revisit it or renegotiate every time I see the food in the kitchen.+

𓀐 @B6FasP8t: What worked for me was not buying any junk food anymore at all, however not banning it completely either. If I want to eat it I have to make it myself from scratch. If I bake something like brownies I preportion it and freeze them. thawing them naturally takes a while so I let one piece thaw and I can't just binge them all at once. When I start hating my lifting routine I either switch it up and just do my favourite exercises for a few days or do some totally different workout like going for a…+
