One of my favorite conversation starters is, when someone asks me what fruit I like, I say, >Only mainstream fruit. >...mainstream fruit? >Yeah, you know, the popular ones. I don't like the obscure, hipster ones. Which usually gets a laugh and then a debate into which are mainstream (apples, grapes, watermelons, bananas, tangerine as my oranges), which aren't (pears, melons, cantaloupe, cherries, kiwi, pineapple, grapefruit), and why.
