𓀐 @vYJwFEiq: >https://docs.mistral.ai/models/deepseek-v4-flash-1017 Didn't know Mistral started hosting Dipsy a couple of days ago. GLM 5.3 on Mistral is fast as fucking shit for some reason, not kidding. They must have massive infrastructure that's most likely also underused. Now we've got GLM, DeepSeek and Mistral Large 4 on a single platform that isn't JeetRouter.+

What is their end-goal? Their models are crap. Yeah Dipsy doesn't reach the raw intelligence of the latest Sol, but it performs better anyway since it's way, way more pro-active.+

𓀐 @GKTAEdu3: how do you people "vibe code"? Do you actually download and install a bunch of programs to connect to the APIs or use local models or do you just type what you want claude to do into the web interface? and do you feel like the way (you) do things is how most people do it?+

𓀐 @7qPS_NnM: >You also don't need to "install a bunch of programs," one will do. I meant install a bunch of programs in the sense that each platform has their own client I'm assuming, plus text editor extensions and other kinds of "hooks". I'm assuming vibe coders are constantly swapping platforms to what has the best performance/cost/hype.+

𓀐 @CMBS7Z=K: Can I get some people's opinion on how I'm learning coding/my first big coding project? I've been learning C for a while now and my first "big" project is gonna be essentially FFXIV but classic FF Active Time Battle format. I am planning out the project and I feel confident I can do a simple 2D version (For a demo it would be some famous bosses from FFXIV and a 4-8 man party, all the classes from FFXIV and their abilities). Why I'm asking here is I want to eventually make a 3D version atop the underlying 2D version, so the 3D ATB games, FF7 classic onwards to FF13. The 3D version would let you take your character model from FFXIV (there are plugins that do this already) and import it into my project and you can fight something like Kefka or Perfect Alexander but in a turn based styled game. I'm not experienced at all with coding 3D graphics and was planning to use 6.1 sol to achieve the 3D side of the project. Gameplay wise I am gonna have some things to make it more unique than just a ATB clone (positionals, resolving raid mechanics, etc.)+

𓀐 @Xeg-*L-d: I know, I was learning C since I am an audio assistant irl atm out of uni and was wanting to learn how to make my own audio hardware eventually (applying for masters programs and a project I wanted to do outside of my audio/event work is using multiple microphones to map a room, people, and object in 3 dimensional space... and cuz my uncle who was a SWE before becoming a manager said that would be a good language to learn first... I have a working prototype in Godot atm that's pretty shit, should I stick with godot or swap to unity then if I am planning to utilize 3D assets?+ 1

𓀐 @NfiusPRM: I hate AI in general because it makes my work boring, but I can't help by notice how instantaneously and efficiently it nuked all trannies and lefties from the tech, forever. Any painstakingly built influence, gone, literally over night. We no longer need their shitty rust rewrites. No more codes of conduct forced on open source projects. In fact no more open source at all. No more "femboy exploit writers", since fable can just one shot it anyway. No more game mods with forced tranny themes. I can just rip out their work, get C version of anything remotely worthwhile done in rust, make any mod literally HItler-approved and there's NOTHING trannies can do, except for seething.+ 1

𓀐 @vqTjx2mt: > LLMs can natively read & write neural network weights https://rikiyat.github.io/blog/weight-space-programming/ >We find that frontier LLMs are surprisingly good at natively reading and writing neural network weights >Just by looking at the raw weights, GPT-6 Astra can tell what a network was trained to do. And without any environment feedback, it has no trouble writing, from scratch, small game-playing networks that outplay networks trained with PPO for 100 million steps. >Likewise, asked to make Qwen3.5-0.8B better at math without gradients, Astra identifies an issue in its weights causing reasoning loops that Qwen’s own model card warns about, and fixes this by natively editing 0.016% of the weights. With the same sampling settings, this weight correction raises MATH-500 from 7.9% to 48.1% and generalizes out of the box to instruction following, raising IFEval by 3x. To get RSI you just ask the model to make the weights of the next model.+ 1

𓀐 @-gnUZ~2z: How do I stop sol from forgetting things I told it to never do? For example I told it to remove those separating ‘mid height’ periods AIs like between words and never use them again, a few days later it just adds it back into the title of a menu because I asked it to make a small change unrelated to the heading. I’ve been spamming instructions to remember everything I’ve said and keep lists of requirements that it has to abide by, including in agents and it just ignores all of them.+

I have Opus 5.5, but it's coding usage on legacy Cursor, and idk if you're allowed to "chat" with them. Some models fail to realize you have to enter the 3rd dimension. The "solutions" seem pretty janky so far, if they even would work. Diagrams are very wonky and honestly just wrong. so far.+
