𓀐 @Rt4DGXe9: Not to mention, you can do the same for resources. Digging stuff out of the deep earth is easier than setting up a colony on Mars, sending heavy equipment there AND enough people to run the operation, mining that shit out, and then sending it back. See above, do you understand the complexity of maintaining a Mars operation that can use those resources effectively or ship them back to Earth to be used effectively? We have immense unexploited reserves of everything we need here on Earth, it's just not economically feasible to exploit them *at this moment*. Despite this, they are still a million times more economically feasible than resources on Mars even if they were just laying on the surface ready to be picked up by hand.

>Digging stuff out of the deep earth is easier than setting up a colony on Mars We're already doing that and regulations are the limiting factor, we don't want to dig out the mountains or turn them into dust in the atmosphere. >do you understand the complexity Yes and the muskman has already created the infrastructure for it while making a profit doing it. The first years or decades will be exploration while shipping millions of tons of materials over there including robots. The first resource priority will be turning energy into fuel. I tend to think the moon is a better option but I didn't make a profitable interplanetary infrastructure so I can't test that theory.

𓀐 @3qizzRB~: >regulations on mars won't be retarded like regulations on earth... because they won't! as i said, mars is a religion.+
