You have to learn to do it well, and learning to do it well helps you do other things well, to understand other people, and to appreciate many things in life in a way you could not do so without the experience of it. It changes as you get older. On top of missing out on the education it provides to who you are, who you can be, and especially who you can be with respect to other people, an excessive delay in having sex makes you miss out on the experience of having it when your mind is still young. If you miss the boat on that it's lost to you, you cannot recapture it or really even understand it by looking back later. There is no compensation adequate for missing out on the above. There is, except in the most extreme circumstances, no harm in having sex early on in life either. It's illustrative that generally no one has to say what I'm saying here, that it takes a legion of moral used car salesmen to talk people into delaying having sex as long as they can, and that these same hucksters turn the same accusation of misinformation and bad intentions against people like me. But you know in your heart that a youth pastor encouraging virginity rings false and is performative, whereas when I say what I say it comes out naturally, there is no tension in it that drags against the order of the world or honest people's optimistic experience. No trace of that fear that liers have when they tell a lie.

I recall Brave New World explaining how men didn't have any sexual interactions other than masturbation and homosex before the age of 20 during the time the book was written, it is a FACT this was normal until like, fifty years ago. Now the reason obviously wasn't because of pastors but because young people weren't brainwashed into wanting to have sex asap and things just happened naturally when the time was right. Premature sex stunts the body, and the same can be said about religious inbred communities who arrange-marry their kids at the age of 18 and push them to have kids.
